Default ultra limitrd low - how low can it go?

I recently purchased an 17 Ultra limited low and due to my short legs, I am looking to take it down a little bit lower. One option is to do an Air ride but I want to make sure I do not tear anything up. Most Air Rides have shocks that range fro 9.5 to 14.5 inches.

Is 9.5" going to hurt my bike? I really don't need it that low. but 10.5 would help.
What is the shorted Shock I can safely put on the rear?

Thanks in advance

is your question about the shock bottoming out, or floor boards, muffler and frame dragging?
You do realize it’s going to depend on your riding style? The size of the bumps in the road? You didn’t mention if you care about ride quality.

Thank you for the reply.

Just to be clear, I am fine with the height and the ride quality most of the time. The real issue is when I stop on an incline where there is a dip where my feet would be or when I am backing you.

The thought was that id I put on an air ride I could lower the shocks to about 10 inches when I need it but back to about 11 1/2 the rest of the time. I am concerned that sitting the bike down could damage the bike.

Have you thought about calling Mean City and asking if they ca lower your seat?
Cheaper and easier than air shocks.
