If the front factory speaker wiring is being used and not using an amp then you splice the front speaker outputs from the aftermarket HU to the correct wires on the HDSCW1.

As for the question about hooking up to the rear speaker. I'm not really sure since I am using an amp and have my rears connected directly to it and did not use the factory wiring. I would suggest giving scosche a call.

I have one with a Sony MEX70BT. Works great and was super easy to hook up. I got the radio, adapter harness, mounting kit and the hdswc1 from an ebay deal all new for under 200.

Sorry you couldn't get the Scosche Kit to work. My whole set up with a Kenwood HU was under $200 CDN. Most common problem is connecting the pink/white problem wrong.

I had everything hooked up and the head unit would freeze up. Called schoshe and they were less than helpful. The place where I bought from was very helpful. Volunteer audio is top notch. Just leery about the schoshe, so I went with the retro kit from biketronics.

I bought the same setup but the right button that controls the source doesnt work. if i push it radio goes off. Did you set the dip switch to on that is inside the box?

For the Sony head unit plug in the 3.5 cable to the head unit. Sony is the only head unit that uses dip switch 4. I had switch 4 on which was wrong switched off works great. Got it from crutchfield for $42.00. Works the same as my Friends Biketroncis module for 1 third the cost.
