Are the speakers pretty much comparable in terms of sound quality, any advantages with picking one over the other or are they pretty much on par?
It looks like the Focal 165 KRC's are going for $800 at Crutchfield. The Arc Moto 602 come in a less then half that price and are highly recommended. The BT 7.1's are also highly recommended and come in at half that price with the the brackets. So what I'm saying is using the stock HU I don't think you're getting the best back for buck with the Focal's.

I am not famular with the BT 547 - 157-2's. I'll let someone else that know more answer that. Or you can call Bill at BT on Monday and ask him. He will be happy to answer all your questions.

What amp are you looking at to push these?

Gannicus,

Yes I am talking about the BT457s versus the Imagine 157-2s. Thank you for confirming that the speakers are one in the same.

I am not familiar with that amp. Maybe Gann or Haze have tested this one.

I guess I got a great deal on mine as I got them for under $600 installed from my local sound guy.

Yes Both Haze and myself have tested that amp. It's a beast. Especially with those focal speakers. I imagine that's why Soundz Customz uses that combo. It's a great match!

I've got Biketronics 2180.14 pushing all 4 speakers. The amp really brought out the Hertz Titan speaker in the lowers, better than I remember with Sound stream Nano 520 I have but to be expected being driven by more power. It is better than stock but to me not Golly Gee Wizz. I know if there were a Kenwood, pioneer etc DBL din radio to replace it with it would be light years different. On the other hand my decision really not get head over heels into stereos now and just ride the p...s out of the bike. For God's sake I like many have dumped thousands into stereo stuff. I may put my Sound stream back in to give me more flexibility on speaker balancing, we'll see its a long winter. By the way 15 FLHXS

OK I tell you although the Harley radio has a lot of features I'd like to have the truth is I don't need them. I'm really about to use a $1600 radio as extra weight in a crab pot and go with a single din radio if thats the only solution! Is there anyone that can create software to break into this radio and supercharge it?
