Default Thoughts on PBR 300/4 amp

What are your ur guys thoughts on this amp? Is this a good choice for my ultra classic? If not what's a better choice? Also retaining the factory deck. I'd like to keep the fm radio so I know that limits my options. Also what's the bassist/clearest speakers to go with for around $100 a pair? Most of my riding is highway miles.

Thanks

What year Bike? Need to know just for general info. Regardless the PBR300X4 is not a good amp for your scooter. Not sure if you are wanting to keep your FM radio or not but if you do your options are very limited and it's gonna cost you to keep it. If not, There are many amps out there much better than the X4. At $100 a set your best bang for the buck speakers are going to be the Kicker KSC654's. Loud and decent Bass.

It's an 08. Id like to keep the radio which is why I was asking about a non class d amp.

Otherwise keeping n that same price range of amp what would you recommend in a class d amp then?

In that same price range of the PBR300X4 in a class D amp I would recommend the Power Acoustik RZ4.2000D. The Cheapest I've seen the X4 was Jet.com for $138.00 bucks. You could go one step further and purchase the Soundstream PN4.1000D here for about the same price. Awesome class D amp! That way if you decide to upgrade your speakers in the future the SS will drive any speaker out there 2 or 4 ohm.

I have the pbr300x4. It works. I also have the Soundstream pn4.1000d. For the $$$ it's a no brainer. Soundstream all the way.

Well it looks like I'm going to go with the sound stream amp. What connector do I need to hook it up the factory deck? Do I use the signal from the factory speaker wire and run new wires to the speakers? If that's the case what to I hook up the remote power wire to?

I just noticed the kickers can only handle 100w rms won't the amp blow them? What speaker would be the next step up from these?

Thanks for all the help.

If you are going to keep the factory HU on an 08 you will be using the speaker wire connections unless you choose to use the low level inputs with a line leveler. This is the route I would take. You're gonna need two SNI-35's and two sets of Stinger RCA's to accomplish this task.

Amazon.com: PAC SNI-35 Variable LOC Line Out Converter: Car Electronics Amazon.com: PAC SNI-35 Variable LOC Line Out Converter: Car Electronics

Amazon.com: Stinger SI421.5 1.5 -Foot of 2-Channel 4000 Series RCA Interconnect Cable: Car Electronics Amazon.com: Stinger SI421.5 1.5 -Foot of 2-Channel 4000 Series RCA Interconnect Cable: Car Electronics

The remote wire will be hooked to the orange and white wire off the headlight harness.
The next step up from the kickers are the Polk MM651's or the Infinity kappa 62.11i speakers. On a side note the Kickers will take the power of the SS all day long if the gains are set correctly. But the Kappa's and the Polks are definitely better speakers.

I have the SSpn4.1000 and 4 KSC67 and Sony mex70. Like gan said as long as the gain is set properly, the kickers will handle it and in my opinion sound damn good. Are there better speakers available? Yes. But for $140 for 4 speakers it sounds good enough to my half deaf ears.

Thanks guys.
I've got it all ordered except for the front speakers because I'm still trying to decide I'm sure I'll have other questions when it comes time to install
