No Sir. Lower speaker Pods and the rear pods will be fine. What guys normally do is go with carpet in the saddle bags. But I don't really think it's necessary for lid speakers. Speakers facing the wheel. Yes.

OK, now for Power.. If I am running the 2 Cervin Vega amps... Can I use 1 powerline and then split it into 2? Should I be using 4ga wiring???

You can use a distro block if necessary. But with Two Cerwin Vega amps. Just run an 8 gauge power and ground cable to the battery. One for each amp. You'll mount one amp in the faring and the other in the tour-pak.

I am going to try and mount both in the fairing so I thought it would be easier with a distribution block in the fairing. Everywhere I read people say anything over 1000 watts use 4ga???

Hmmm Not sure two B54's will fit in the fairing honestly. Someone on this forum is bound to know for sure. But I have not tried it.

There was one a while back that fit 2 of the B2's but like you I'm doubting 2 of the 54's will fit. Won't know till you try.

Yes Sir SB I remember the two B2's in the fairing! They fit in there nicely! There's a couple amp trays out there now that hold a couple amps but I can't recall who makes em. One of the guys will hopefully chime in.

J&M makes a high quality SS amp mounting kit for the Rushmore models.
They can be found here and here.

You guys rock! Getting lots of ideas. I have started buying everything I need to do the install. Just wanting on the saddle bag lids to come in from the paint shop!

I do have a wiring questions. For power I am planning on running a single 4ga wire from the battery to a 8ga distribution block. Then run the 8ga into the 2 CV amps. In terms of fuses, do I need a fuse inline from the battery to the distribution block in addition to the in line 8 ga fuses going to each amp. What size fuses should I be using?
