Boom! - Where to copy mp3's on Android device?
I've had an iPhone since they first came out, but recently switch to an Android phone. With the iPhone, I was able to load it up with music and play via Bluetooth or USB. With the new (to me) Android phone, I've copied some mp3's to the Music directory, but the Boom! system does not see them (at least not from a Bluetooth connection).
Anyone out there able to explain what is needed to make these music files available from Android to Boom!?
Thanks

You will have to open the music player app on your phone and with the Bluetooth on and synced to the bike you should be able to play the music that you have downloaded.
But you have to do it thru goggle music player or something similar.
Hope this helps

First of all get a memory card if you phone will take one. Insert it and create a directory called music on it. That's all that's involved. If you want to get fancy you can create sub directories for every artist and sub directories under each artist for each album.
As a side note if you use your phone as a GPS:
Don't forget to open Google Maps and click on offline maps, do this while home on WIFI. From that enlarge the map square to include as much territory as possible and download the map. This will keep Google maps from using your expensive data when you ride and allow you to use google maps when you've lost your cell connection. You can download additional maps areas as well. Also if you have a memory card first select it as the location to store map data.

I did create a "Music" directory at what I was thinking was the "root", but perhaps that's not the case. This phone is not "rooted" so, the base directory where I put "music" may not actually be /music.
I will pop a Micro SD card in there and see if that works. I like to organize the folders in subfolders as suggested above, so hopefully this will get me up and running.
Thanks for the help
