Right, just the one amp in the fairing above the HU. Motos in the fairing and Polks in the TP. I called the Focal USA customer support number to get their view... waiting for the call back from them....

Interested in the outcome as I'm a few clicks behind your amp order and very impressed with your Pacific experience. Keep us updated and with Focal's response also.

From Focal's site I got these specs but I'm pondering if the bridged 4ohm is legit:

Specifications:
Power into 4 Ohms 4x175W rms
Power into 2Ohms 4x250W rms
Bridged mode into 4 Ohms 2x500W rms

For comparison the JL M400/4 is:

@ 4 Ω 75 W RMS x 4
@ 2 Ω 100 W RMS x 4
Bridged @ 4Ω 200 W RMS x 2

...so 300W more per ch @bridged 4ohm w/ the Focal? 60% more?!

Some previous posts state it's not continuous power, or conventional to a similar amp output. So every other song gets power? LOL What does noncontinuous power mean?

And so far one amp reported smoked and another with jacked channels? Typing this makes me lean towards an M700/5...

A few posts of purchases for the Focal but no real reviews or impressions. What's the verdict new FDP owners?

I will follow up as things progress. The Focal Factory (Orca) tech guy is on vacation till the 3rd so nada from them yet. The BT355s arrived just a few days after I ordered them... pretty quick. Don’t know the status of the replacement amp yet... so holding off on taking the fairing off for the third time...

The most solid amp I have had in my fairing to date. Not a single issue and damn solid power.

Of the amps in the same general category / class utilized as 4 channel non-bridged, the Hertz HDP4, ARC Moto 600.4 and BT4180.

Besides having more power than the HDP4 (also smaller than this one) and the 600.4, what is the main difference (advantage) with these two?

For my build there really is not much I need to say beyond the "more power" aspect of the equation. The Focal is powering 4 JL880s and they luv that thing. Killer SQ and very efficient as well. In a nutshell, it fit my build. Now if u can get me a quality 200x4@4 amp with the same footprint, I'm all over it.
