TW...can you also ask Focal if they plan to offer a replacement harness, maybe via their website after verification or something? I'm sure it wont be too hard to "rig" it but a harness swap at this price point should be offered. Proactively and quickly addressing this would speak volumes for Focal....see what I did there 0_o

Ha Ha, he's supposed to let me know something after they get with the engineers... I even suggested maybe they provide some connector pin removal tools so we could reindex the connector ourselves... I tried with some aircraft tools I had: impossible.

Likewise. I tried and could not get them to release. Easiest solution for them is going to be an updated harness set.

5 minute fix with 4 pink heat shrink butt connectors from Home Depot.

I'm betting a replacement harnesses for the folks impacted will be a month minimum.

The cave man version of placement simply has the wires lined vertically on the input harness that plugs into the amp.

The Focal wires labeled Channel 1 is the far left top and bottom. Solid black on top, striped black on bottom.
Channels 2 labeled wire is the second vertical set of wires.
Channel 3 labeled wire is third vertical column and Channel 4 is the far right column.

Separate the solid and striped wire on channels 1 and 2 till about 6 inches away from the input that plugs into the amp. Cut the 2 striped wires and butt connect the wires that put the Channel 1 striped into the far left wire coming from the amp plug in. Butt connect the remaining two wires which should be Channel 2 into the second bottom wire from the left. Repeat the same for 3 & 4.
Heat shrink butt connectors.
Rock on in stereo!!!!

Check ur harnesses before trying this at home. If ur wires on the side of the input harness that plugs into the amp line up vertically based on the above wiring logic of vertical placement for each channel (Cannel 1 far left in sequence to Channel 4 on far right) then u do not have a harness that has been impacted based on these recent findings and supported by Focal Tech.

Rewired a buds amp tonight and he is now stereo and I would call it a very suitable cave man remedy until replacement harnesses become available.

Not completely sure but this might be the Molex pin removal tool for those that would rather fight with the connector than splice wires.

That looks like it! I watched the video too. I’ve got some 24 gauge at the shop..... I may try and make a tool to do it with tomorrow.
