Review: Best 2 Speaker set up Battle of the Pro Audio Coax
#11
Consider this...guys spend more on Focal component speakers that can't keep up! A package with these speakers lets say is 480-600.00, then add a 300.00 amp, BT line levelers, and a few cables and you could have a two speaker package for 1000.00 or less that is rock solid and comparable to packages certain folks offer using Focal and Hertz coaxial speakers. Not a bad deal for an awesome two speaker set up

That sound's like a winner. $1000.00 is what most people consider their budget. I just hope people continue to push the envelope, so we do not digress back to everyone running the same and not trying new stuff.

Thanks man. I try new stuff all the time....and I'm trying to push these reviews more often. Over the last year I was swamped with builds, traveling, bike shows, etc that for a while I stuck with what I knew and I think that happens with many shops so you (the consumer) really only get one side of the story, when really there's a ton of stuff out there. Right now I have the Arc, JL, Fosgate, DD, and GZ DSP's at my place and plan on running each of them on my bike at some point.

Sweet, keep it coming. I know we look forward to these reviews and I know you have the ability to test them out. I am sure you are busy and we thank you for the information.
On another note, you have to make the trip for the MNG and see some of the old salts and meet us new guys too. Good times for all.

i would say yes to Indy's idea, but there might be some mods to the BT bracket involved, and i might make them unusable for anything else again, without remodding them.
I'm also curious if they will fit in the older batwings, the mounting depth they show on the sheet is 4.06 inches, but that is measured from the bottom of the edge, like it would be a drop in mounting, not a flush mount like we normally do. Next time i have my lid off, (Hopefully this weekend) i'll be taking some measurements to see.

the idea that i have for mounting to the bt brackets would involve a spacer ring on the front side of the bracket, where most people put some sort of backer filler, then insert the speaker from the front. from my last install i seem to remember there being roughly 1/2 an inch of clearance on the front side, so why not try to make use of it to adjust the depth of the speaker?
