To Piggyback on the thread a little if I may. I am new to Harley as of last season and have a 16' FLHXS, I just started installing my own system as well in to lids with an amp. I have power but no sound, I have heard both ways saying that I need to get the system "Flashed," and that I do not have to since it is a Special. Is this true or False? Either way I have wired in a Line Leveler in the fairing, RCA cables back to the 4 Channel AMP and then wired in everything in the saddlebags to the amp. Any Guidance or better Knowledge?

What equipment do you currently have?
Amp?
Line leveler?
Where did you get power, ground and remote?

I am running a
Axxess 4 Channel Line Leveler
Soundstream PN4. 1000AMP 4 Channel
with 500AMP Rockville 6x9s

I have to tried adjusting from the AMP, but as I type I don't think I did from the line leveler. Running power from the battery and the ground and remote from the battery as well just until I made sure everything was working.

 

I would not touch the dial on the line leveler. Is it a BT355?

When I wired the leveler into the harness I wired everything on to all speaker wires, " Fronts and Rears." Do I just need to wire into the fronts?

You're using the wrong Line Leveler. The one you're using is the one some use when the HU has been aftermarket flashed. Not gonna help you with your setup. You need the BT355 from Biketronics.
