Devise not compatible with GTS

Same here…I was shocked whenI bought my ‘19 RG with the then new GTS. I absolutely love my GTS but will never understand why it’s not backward compatible. Yes a thumb drive will work but what I wound up doing is buying an ancient iPhone 5 on eBay and just stuck it in the cubby 24/7 for a dedicated music player. Think the only iPod that will work on a GTS is a new Touch.

By doing so, are you concerned that you are missing out on some of the additional features of the GTS. As an example, have you considered using the Andriot Auto or Apple car Play maps.

I did try the AA and confirmed it worked for ***** and giggles. With all my music on the old iPhone I don’t need Spotify, Sirius tc…. but I could always stream with BT. And I know a lot of people don’t care for the Boom NAV system but it works great for my needs and it’s never gotten me lost. I guess a thumb drive is your best option but you do lose the USB option n less you hook up a splitter or something.

What I did was put my music on my phone - this way, I have the best of both worlds.
