I was told it is a 1914 J Model. That is my mother’s parents, first date.

 

I’m gonna say 1917, but all I have is books and pictures. Look at the tank mounted gauge like in your picture



This is a 1914. Assuming this book is right. I’ve got a bunch of others but this one has the best pics.

 

It appears there’s not a model J in 1914, but there is in 1915 and subsequent years.

Now there is a good clue. Looking at the books, it appears that 1916 is the first year for the kicker arm.
