I saw Paul Jr.'s new bike with the Spiderweb motif on the wheels and tank, etc.: very nicely done. Good to see him get out from under Paul Sr.'s thumb. Don't know how he took it all these years.

Their showing reruns on Monday nights at 9 by me. I don't know all you guys predicting their demise haven't been right yet. Their show is doing reruns until the next season fires up. I realize their show won't be on forever but, the fat lady hasn't started to sing yet.,,

When these custom chopper shows first started I thought they were pretty cool. But after a while you start to realize they are just building the same bike over and over again with VTwin engine, production hard tail frame, and token brakes. About all that changes is the cosmetics within a limited scope and they are not even really rideable with no front brake, 45 degree steering geometry, no rear suspension, and really uncomfortable riding position.

A lot more impressive are some of the custom builders doing original work with antique Nortons and other bikes.

OCC was made a household name because of the show, companies paid extreme prices because they were getting a two hour commercial and people were willing to pay $39,000+ for an OCC production bike for the "Name/Fame" with the cancellation of the show and the huge debt OCC has with their new shop, they'll be Bankrupt soon. Jr better settle for his 20% soon or it'll be worth less than Zero, (he has 20% of the company's debt as well!)
If Jr gets a follow on show (which I doubt, the show about a disfunc family, not bike building) he might have a decent "commercial" business, but with his soiled attitude and unrealistic "Bike Prices" he'd better look back into the Boutique!

I like all of Paul Jr's bikes. I like how he approaches the creative process. The Cadillac bike he designed rocked! Probably one of the nicest bikes he's designed in his career!

I think either of their designs are ugly. I don't like the whole "theme bike" idea, I'm much more in to abstract art.

I think him and his old man are over rated.

Personally, I think this bike is awesome. If he keeps up this sort of innovation he will be a leader in the custom chopper world.

Wish I could afford one
