Default ceramic coating

saw an ad for a ceramic paint coating, supposed to work well and protect the painted and chrome surfaces better than a good old fashioned wax. anybody here ever try this stuff?

I think I’ve used Liquid Glass. It’s very easy to apply, as it supposed to be applied in the direct sun, and extremely easy to remove the residue. As far as protection, I really can’t see a difference between that a wax.

edit- LG is not a ceramic polish, it’s more in line with silica and quartz. Hence it’s name. Sorry

I've been using C.Quartz Ceramic coatings on vehicles for many years.
Short Version: Think of it like a wax/sealant that hardens and lasts for years!
I'm not sure if it is a good choice for chrome. (engine, pipes heat etc.)

The latest version is Cquartz UK 3.0

I have been using a professional Detailer for a few years now. He is a very good friend of mine, and has been so successful he has a several month waiting list to get in.

I had him do my 2017 2SS Anniversary Camaro convertible last year and he used C-Quartz Finest Ceramic. Turned out absolutely AMAZING !!!!!!

My Bike is going in to him this Sunday, and I get it back Wednesday morning. He has recommended Feynlab Self Healing Ceramic Coating. Can't wait to see it !!!!!!

I know that this is older, and I am a little late to the party. The biggest thing with ceramic coating is the prep work. The paint better be scratch free, because if you coat it, you will be looking at it for several years. In terms of heat. McKees makes a ceramic coat for brakes and wheels that is suppose to with stand higher temps. It doesn't last as long, but I used it on my charger that had the 6 pot hellcat brembos. It protects very well.

That is beautiful. What coating did they use? You pay for what you get when it comes to coating. That black is a b*tch to get perfect for coating, but it looks like they did a great job. I have some "scratches" in my twisted cherry that are driving me nuts. It is to cold in my garage though to do any paint correction.
