My biggest problem with the WG's (off the floor) is the air filter rubbing against my legs.
But that's one of the simpler fixes.

My wife looked fine all stretched out on that thing. We ended up putting on the reduced-reach foot controls though, because she was reaching far enough that she couldn't push the rear brake very hard.

I'm about 5'8 and when I rode my buddies SB with forwards I noticed I had to stretch my legs to keep my feet on the pegs, when I bought my Fat Bob it had heel rests on the pegs already, and that makes a huge difference in comfort for me. Easier to keep my feet right where I want them. That might be a simple and not too expensive option.

I'm 5'8 and here is the set up I found that works best for me.
Saddlemen Renegade solo seat. The first one I had was the more reduced reach style but it felt like I was sitting too far forward and on top of the gas tank too much. I exchanged it for their standard one that moves me forward just a slight amount.
Also added ape hangers which seemed to help....
And wearing thick soled boots puts me in the most natural comfortable position with the forward controls that I no longer think about getting the reduced reach forward controls.

Then get a license plate frame that says. "I'm the mayor of this town"

Actually, speaking of license plates, the thing I like even less than the air intake is the license plate location.
First thing to do on your way out is is change that.
Unless you're fortunate to live in a town where LE's don't care.
Here in Houston TX that ain't gonna happen.

Just curious, why do you want a wide glide? it's pretty much just the same kind of bike as a sportster just a lot nicer in about every way.

I just love the look of the wide glide, the wide front forks are very appealing. I think I have outgrown my sportster.
