Went to go riding today and the rear brake didn't feel right. I brought it back and the Legends Supreme master cylinder gasket is leaking. It looks like just a flat piece of rubber. Legends Supreme only sells the gasket in a rebuild kit for $35 and I'm not into paying $35 for a 1 1/4" x 3 1/2" piece of rubber.
Does anyone have a forward mounted rear master cylinder that they have had to make a gasket for; what did you use? It looks like a piece of inner tube rubber would work, but I"m not sure about the chemical reaction? Anyone have any idea?

 

DO NOT cut corners when it comes to the brake system on your bike. Get the correct part and do it right the first time because when it comes to brakes you may not get a chance to do it a second time.

 

You do realize you're talking about your brakes right?

If it were me I'd cough up the $35 bones.

(just sayin')

 

Already ordered one since I found a source for the gasket alone.
