Phil Birch Fairing on my Fat Bob.
Phil made me a custom top mount bracket because my bike had the HD Pull Back Risers on it. He is awesome to deal with.
The fairing performs very well. The wind is off my torso and there is absolutely no buffeting. My head is in clean air.
The paint I used is from here http://www.66autocolor.com/Harley-Da...aint-s/277.htm
It is tri coat Candy Red Sunglow (Stock 08 FB Color) and it turned out really well for spray bombs. If you didn't know you couldn't tell.

Install requires you to drop the forks and slide the clamps over the fork tubes. The only draw back is there is no headlight gasket like the fairings from H-D have. I have a faring adjusted so I have little to no buffeting even with my visor up on my helmet but I can't ride at night cause the headlamp washes out the back of the fairing and it's like riding with out a headlight. Does anyone have a part number for the headlamp gasket off hand? Would weather stripping from the hardware store work just as well?
I have made gaskets by taking a piece of rubber 1/4" hose and laying it out flat and cutting the hose down the middle but only on one surface. Then the hose can be opened up and slipped over the edge of whatever you want it to cling to. Hope this helps.

Default fairing question

If I have a top mounted head light on my 2003 fxd how can I mount the fairing? Am I over thinking this or do other see this as a potential issue...

Anyone with the Memphis shades Road Warrior fairing care to chime in as far as wind protection and buffetting? Maybe compared to a regular windshield? I have a Memphis Fats 17" shield on my Street Bob at the moment. It works OK, but I really hate the look of it.

Thumbs up

The Memphis Shade look nice that cover all round the headlight. Do you have photo that show the other side of the faring, the rider view.

Not much to see really. Memphis Shades make a triple pouch that mounts to the inside but I don't have it. I think someone makes a speaker system for it as well. All I have is my phone mount tucked inside.

Added a 5" windshield in place of the 9" in the previous pics.

For those with the Moons MC or Ebay 1/4 fairing. How's your light fitment? I've turned the mounting block round 180 degrees and added a 1 inch spacer. There is a bunch of room at the bottom between the headlight and the gasket and that's with my light angled way too far up (cars getting annoyed LOL).
