Default eBay forward controls any good?

I am looking to switch from mids to forward controls and I saw these billet ones on eBay that use the mid controls shaft. Are these any good and why dont the HD forward controls use this method for linkage? Thoughts?

Not sure if they are good or not but kinda slick idea if it does work good. I actually left my mids shaft in the primary even though I run forwards now in case I ever wanted to go back easily. Doubt I ever will, but I could. Just too cheap to buy another primary cover with no shaft hole in it.

I may have to give them a shot then, I like the mids but at 6'2" I am just to cramped on long rides in town, I can never use my highway pegs for more than 5 min without getting into traffic.

Looks like the Mapam stuff I had on my Yamaha. They worked OK on it for the price. If you happen to roll off the rubber ring and loose one, be sure to search a source for replacement before buying. The bearing surface for the levers was aluminum on aluminum. Keep a little moly grease on it. (can touch up with a drip of oil but needs greased once in a while)

H-D uses the same forwads set-up for Sportster 1200s. No clue why not on Dynas.

I have H-D forwards on my Low Rider and like them.

I don't mind the HD controls I just didn't want to deal with cutting the old one and plugging the hole. Plus this design would allow for quick swap back.

A lot of folks, including yours truly, put a chrome cap on the mid shaft. Looks fine and permits going back to mids.

I'm betting these would also work on a fat bob. Would be worth the money just to give it a try. Fun idea.
