Hello all, just wondering if any of you are running the Leather Pros FXDXT retro bags with the Bassani road rage 2? I have a 14 Street Bob and I barely have any clearance between my pipe and the bags. I called Garry and he said he knows of one guy who's had issues with this setup. Any of you guys running this with no issues? Any comments and pictures would be greatly appreciated!

I hope to get some pics posted later so I can show the clearance.

Maybe reach out to Suede Blue Man. He doesn't have the same pipe but if I remember right his is also pretty tight from a clearance stand point. I think he maybe even fabricated at different heat shield for his bag.

I'm not sure which road rage you have but here's the clearance I have on mine. It works good but I do wish the mufflers were a little longer, maybe atleast to the middle of the bags

 

 

Different pipe but solution would be the same, I made a pattern out of cardboard and then had this heat shield/deflector made, mine is 3/16ths aluminum.

I drilled out the rivets and replaced with the bolts, nuts, and washers you see. Keep 1/4" space between the original skid plate and the Suede Blue Super Collecting-Super Colliding Magna Deflector Shield and bam, you're in business.
