That's good to hear. How long did the 1.6 last? What kind of failure?

Approximately four years [installed years = six (SEP 2010), but it was not ridden for two], but when I called All *****, they said send it in with no qualms and they had issues with these. They did not specify what the issue (s) were.

Originally I took it to a starter rebuild shop and they replaced the starter clutch - this is what the shop typically replaces as that is the main they see. Said tested fine. OEM had the starter clutched replaced. After this, I called All ***** (after realizing it had a lifetime warranty).

So new starter and I also went with new 2GA battery cables and it turns over very easy.

That's some monster wire. I'm using 4ga fine strand, tinned, OFC, 105C PVC jacket. It's supposed to be good for 300+ amps at up to 4 feet. I think stock is 4ga, but it's not as good wire. I hope it will suffice.

Cables and rear frame filler/trim/cover are done. Basically just waiting on the battery tray to come back.

Got the electrical stuff squared away and the shop ready for metal work so I'll try to start on the tank tomorrow.

Got the top of the tank closed up today. Figuring out the mounting later today.

Love it. I really wish I had the ***** to change my tank. I want the gar gauge gone "since it is useless" and smooth, and the gas cap to be flush.

I'm leaving the gas gauge and filler alone. They will keep their stock, plain chrome appearance. Not sure why, but I like the look of the matching left and right chrome caps and hated the console. Shrug.

Just got an email from Lyndall announcing their new lug drive sprockets that match their lug drive rotors. I'll definitely be getting one of these! So excited!

Lug drive means the wear part can be replaced without replacing the center. They're also light.

They're on sale right now so I went ahead and ordered one. I'll update when it arrives.

It says $360 and "save 90", but in the cart it was $320. The rotors are $440, so I'm not sure what the regular price of the sprockets will be.
