Definitely an amazing transformation, that's for sure!

I can't help but wonder though, how much did this cost? Will you ever be able to recoup any of this cost if you decided to sell or trade? At the end of the day it is still a dyna super glide and we all know that aftermarket parts add almost nothing to the value. If you had put the money into buying a street glide, at least you'd get a good chunk of it back when/if you ever sold.

...and it would like like any other Street Glide

(if that's important to someone... People chant "Make it your own")

But to 95% of people, it already looks like every other street glide.

With Bobby's bike, he'll get the same amount of admiration from the 95% as he would have if it was a street glide...but he will also get the respect from the other 5% who know the difference

The 5% is worth more in my book

I totally agree! It also let me know how much people know about Harley models when they come up a either say "nice Street Glide" or "nice custom work with the Dyna, it almost fooled me" or the least liked "WHY?" Those last two usually come from that 5%. But I will say this, IMO, Bobby's bike blows away my work with all the detail he has in his.

Dual rotors up front would be the ticket for me.

The wiring was a total pain in the *** ... used service manual from both bikes (13 Dyna and 14+ touring)and built my own wiring harness

Ok .. here is the story . I was seriously considering trading my bike on a new 16 street glide special , looked into trade at local dealer my bike is 100% paid for .. I would have had to give my paid for bike plus $16,000 plus taxes, title and license .i spent a LOT doing this right around 8 grand total with all parts, exhaust and paint .. I'm sure I could never recoup what I have in it from a dealer but then again neither can someone who trades a late model street glide just a few weeks ago at local dealer a guy traded a 16 cvo on a 17 street glide special .. cost him his bike and $7000... he got totally screwed considering his used bike would sell outright for more than the 17 street glide cost .. fact is I have a **** ton of time and effort into this bike and I have zero desire to sell it at any price , yes it may look like a street glide but .. it is a Dyna and absolutely one of a kind . Even if someone built one similar I hand made way too many parts for them to make the identical bike ... also , I just redid a buddy's road king with full fairing and stretched bags ... with enough shuffling the two around the garage , I still say I'm a good 100 lbs lighter than the touring models
