Thanks boro, and that is a great idea (and likely at a nice savings). There's a powder coating specialist 20 minutes from my place, so I may mosey on over there and ask them about that. My only other issue with the stock covers from my FXDB was their fitment over my Progressive 444s … or, actually, how they won't fit over them. I could try to shave them down, then polish the edges before powder coating; however, I was thinking the FXDLS ones may fit better since that bike doesn't use the same shocks as the FXDB.

Anyways, we'll see where this journey takes me.
