Default 3 Wire to 2 Wire Turn Signal/Running light Conversion

Picked up a 2017 Street Bob a few weeks ago and included in the deal was a set of Screamin Eagle mufflers, 2 up seat, passenger pegs, and sissy bar.
Before they could install the sissy bar I had to relocate the factory turn signals and license plate. I will attach pictures when I can but to sum it up:
stock were 3 wires. 1 for ground, 1 for turn/brake, and 1 for running lights.
aftermarket LED lights are 2 wire. 1 for ground and 1 for either turn/brake or running. I chose turn/brake but was searching for a way to make them work for both like the factory 3 wires. any suggestions?

Sounds like your LEDs are ON and OFF. No tail function. You need a tail LED in the center, under the fender.

So I take it that you replaced the entire factory turn signal housing with an aftermarket 2 wire housing?

I read somewhere about some diodes that will make the 1 wire work for both. But no details about how to wire it or what diode to use.

Yes. Got rid of the chrome 3 wires and installed black 2 wires.

It's not a simple diode,
https://www.customdynamics.com/stand...arley-davidson
I used these, (my FXD had only two wire turn only) but they required drilling a hole inside the housing and running the extra wires to properly connect,
https://www.customdynamics.com/bulle...namic-clusters

Cruise around the Custom Dynamics site,, maybe they have something for ya,,

Yeah,, you kinda messed up getting the two wire replacement signals.
If your going to customize with the wrong parts,, you gotta customize.
Why not just get 3 wire replacements?
That's the gig with HD,, none of it is cheap,,

I have a friend that uses afro american ingenuity on his bike all the time,
so much so I won't help him anymore,, it drives me nuts!
He's gotta fix it "NOW", with whatever he can scrounge,, he can't wait two days or spend more then $9.97 on a part.

I didnt say anything about money... Thats not the issue or I wouldnt have bought a brand new Harley. The factory Harley relocation kit is ugly as hell and the factory turn signals where chrome and I wanted to switch to black. I bought 2 wire because I didnt know I needed 3 wire until I already had the parts(that I waited a week and a half for so thats not it either). I am asking for help on how to make it work because others say you can, not because I dont want to buy something else or wait for other parts. So to sum up, money and waiting isnt the issue. Not trying to use "afro american ingenuity" to do anything, just seeing what others have done to make 2 wire LEDs work with a factory 3 wire setup.

Here is what I have found. Anyone try this before?

I got a Kuryakyn adapter on mine but it's an older bike. Don't they make something for that year?
