As a favor to all concerned, I'll offer my 5 star review of DK Custom's lift kits.
http://www.dkcustomproducts.com/gas-...ft-kits-c4.htm
The photos on the DK site really don't do justice to their lift brackets. These are of impressive quality, made of Z shaped round stock with threaded ends and flange washers spot welded in place. The lateral stability they impart could not possibly be paralleled by flat stock systems. They come powder coated too so the finish is appropriately well done and durable. The entire kit is 41 bux and includes everything you'll need even if you need to extend the crossover. My only gripe, and its a small one, is that I don't like jubilee clamps on hoses so have replaced these with Oetiker stepless crimp on clamps on my hose.
Kits or parts of a lesser construction may just be OK but considering what's being supported by em, I didn't mind paying 41 bux for the best. Its 41 bux you won't regret once you see the product !?!

Nice job - I like the results. I might consider doing it at some point. Problem is time to work on it vs time to ride it. My job has been pretty stressful lately (and it involves fixing ****) so riding is a big de-stressing activity.
Some day I can retire and just dork around doing stuff I want to do instead of doing stuff other people want me to do.

SP1... old school. I like it. I can't wait to move to a free state where I can get my AR's back. Unless I wanted to register (not happening) the only semi autos I've got left are my trusty Mini-14, my Garand and a Benelli 12ga. Not that there's anything wrong with them. That M1 will reach out and touch someone from far, far away. And the Benelli is up close and personal.

If your barrel (chamber) is throated for long, heavy bullets (80gr) you can get out to 600 pretty good, but it really gets beat up by the slightest breeze at that point. My buddy had a lot of land up in the adirondaks and we paced off 400 and 600m targets a few times. I used to be a pretty good shot with opens, but man I was having a hard time at 6 w/.223. My Garand with a kreiger barrel, trigger and gas work and NM sights had no problem.
