Just try riding the bike on 2 or 2 different surfaces, concrete asphalt etc at same speeds, if you get the same whining, would show a bearing, but if whining is different, then as most of the ops have said above, its the tyres, I just got a brand new 1200GS with the Michelin Anakee 3,s and they whine in some areas, and in others not.
Whenever I go over 70, I get a whining sound coming from the back, but only when my wife is on...
farking funny , yea dude I think it's belt alignment myself put it on a stand and turn the rear wheel , see if it's centered also give the wheel a check laterally while she's up there should be no movement wheel or swing arm.
Even if it's something else do this anyway.

I think it's the guys wife that's the source of the whining..
I have started to notice, at between 53-57mph, I can hear a distinct whining noise, which seems to be coming from the rear, but I can't pinpoint it. I notice it more when I'm leaning on a curve, than I do when going straight up, and it seems to be louder when leaning to the right than to the left, but it's still there, though softer. If I go a little faster or slower, the noise seems to disappear. Any ideas on what might be causing it? All help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jammer
Edit: Sorry! Forgot. This is a 2013 Dyna SuperGlide, which is new to me. Don't know much else.
I know this is an old post but I just became a member. I have a used low mileage 2015 Dyna low rider with the same problem. The dealership couldn’t duplicate it because it doesn’t start making noise until I’ve been riding for at least 1/2 hour. Were you able to determine the problem?
Thanks, Chuck
