Now, have fun modding her; I've sure had fun
Thanks for the tips!

Many thanks for all the kind replies! I have a few things in mind, I want to add drag T-bars and I'm not sure if I'm going to go with HD or Wildone Chubbys. I'm 50/50 if I'm going to murder out the front end or leave it chrome. The motor is perfect as she sits but I will most likely add a Big Sucker or SE Airbox. Other than replace a few of the standard foot controls that are basic, that's about it. I'll update this thread as I go along with what I decide. I usually don't wrench till winter time but as bloody hot as it's been here in VA I haven't been riding much either. Not fit for man nor beast!

If folks don't mind I'll just update this thread with whatever is going on with my WG?

This weekend my brother-in-law and I are headed to Gettysburg Bike Week and hope to catch Lita Ford. https://www.gettysburgbikeweek.com/
I have zero storage and can't quite spring for side bags yet so I ordered a Viking sissy bar bag for around $155 TMD. https://www.vikingbags.com/harley-da...-sissy-bar-bag
It came and holy cow is it BIG! My sissy bar is very small but I took a chance. It doesn't have enough bite on the sissy bar to work so I fiddled with it for an hour to see if I could make it work. I feel cofident I can make it work. Here's a pic of it attached but I haven't secured the excess straps yet.

Compartment on top for gloves, rain gear, snacks, etc.

Main compartment.

A place to secure a laptop.

It came with a pad to slide under the seat and secure it to the passenger seat pad. It appears there will be no chaffing of my fender.

I've logged over 400k miles on Road King so this is all new to me. I'll see what trouble I can get into this weekend at Gettysburg and post up the fun and how this bag worked for the WG. I hope to see some of you there at the event!

Eric

You may want to think about getting the taller sissy bar on your Wide Glide. Mine came with the taller one and I later added the luggage rack. There are a couple of different ones you can get. I like the detachable ones. But glad you got yours strapped on there. I really like the Viking bag. It looks like it will hold plenty.
