If you didn't love'em it wouldn't hurt... sorry bro... totally get it. I have two dogs now and one is getting up there in years. I love my dogs more than I do most people I know.

 

Be aware that the final year is tough on you. As they decline and die, you feel totally helpless. Doc says I have 5 ulcers. My pet neurologist warned me that it's tougher on you than it is on them.

Hate to hear you lost your pups. At 47 I've never been without a dog or three both in my personal life and professional. It's never easy. Hope your next dog finds you soon.

 

Sadness for your loss. Happiness is a new puppie, I just got one 2 weeks ago to fill the empty space that Bo left 24 years ago.

Shelter Island is having a "dog socialization" exercise on Saturday. It's to help get dogs to tolerate humans and other dogs.
Might be good therapy for the Huggerbugger...
