Oh, good, you are back. Glad to see your temper tantrum didn't cause you to keep your word after all.

I have a Dyna. But I wouldn't buy any foot pegs or controls that don't fold up if you grounded them in a curve. While I appreciate the warning, I don't need a "heads up" on something like that. I also know that I should look both ways before crossing the street and that if I don't want to be hit by a train I only really need to concentrate on the 15 feet or so that the tracks reside in.
oh, and
BYE
PS
Please be a real man of your word and don't come back. Don't be like a 13 year old girl who stomps her foot when something goes wrong of her own doing and wants to blame everyone else. Look at the bright side, Zappos has a sale on Converse Chuck Taylor high tops and I'm sure someone is selling pants that aren't really pants or shorts

You having a hard time accepting that you should have anticipated this issue prior to it happening based on your choice to modify and ride the bike like this? It's tough now-a-days I know, common sense isn't nearly as common as it used to be.

It's unfortunate the OP's ankle was in the wrong place at the wrong time. To me, it looks like the bar could actually prevent a crushed ankle if it had been anywhere other than where it was. Also looks like it does what it was designed to do, minimalize damage to more costly components during a tip-over. However, it does look like it would be dangerous when cornering.

This style of bar always looks sketchy to me. My buddy has something similar across the front of his LRS. He's a fairly aggressive rider, and you can see the ends of the bar have touched down a bit in corners. It looks like something that may add protection if the bike falls over in the garage, but it also looks like something that could easily transform the bike into a pole-vaulter when it catches the wrong thing on the ground. "Crash Bar" is probably an accurate name for these things.

I got my right ankle wedged under the bar making an emergency stop at slow speed due to a bad driver making a left turn at a 4 way who did use their blinker. For all of you that think you're so smart. You don't have any experience with this product, some don't even have a Dyan, and suggest that you're opinion matters. Instead you think it's better to bash someone who's trying to warn you about a potential hazard. I posted this to let people know this is a safety issue because these bars are too low to the ground and don't pivot like a normal passenger peg. I suggest you don't buy it for those reasons. Instead I get a troll that doesn't know their ******* from their elbow. I done with this thread. Screw You.

..and then Murphy's Law kicks in. Giving any situation a 650 pound motorcycle will cause injuries. I was lucky yesterday. No damage to anything on the bike, learned a valuable lesson, and no major issues besides a sore leg. Bar is coming off in about an hour. Any of you experts who think this bar is a good idea. $190.00 + Shipping. Since I already posted a disclaimer. Use at your own risk.
Instead of trying to pawn it off on some unsupecting person, put it up on your garage wall where you will see it and it will remind you to fully investigate your bolt on's before rushing into your next good idea.

Yup good advice. My intention was to protect my bike and I didn't think about my body. No damage done to either.

Only way i can see your leg would get dragged into the bar is if you put your feet down before you came to a stop.
