Yaffe x pipes and dip stick removal???
Recently bought an 07 bob and love those blackpaulyaffe x-pipes. Fromthe onepicture I've seen the pipes looked like they were directly above theoil dip stick possibly restricting itsremoval. Any one know if this is a problem on the street bob?If it is, any recommendations on some blacked out pipes other than Bassani....

RE: Yaffe x pipes and dip stick removal???
I have a custom set of street thumpers on my Wide Glide and there was a disclaimer on the pipes that you need to remove the rear pipe to service the oil tank (refills, etc.). I removed the decorative steel cap on the oil dipstick and now it's just the rubber boot with the stick attached, which is fine with me and it is flexible enough without the metal cap anymore to squeeze out past the rear pipe to check the oil level on trips and stuff. If you don't mind not having a nice pretty decorative oil cap on your dipstick, then just get the pipes and deal with removing the rear one when changing your oil. It only takes a minute or two to remove and re-install the pipe anyhow.
So in answer to your question...there are some after market pipes that do get in the way of the oil tank tube, but hey, that's the price we pay for individuality I guess.
