u know, I asked my dealer about that,, and they claimed it to be an upgrade... I guess from the 06, its not in my opinon,,,, Industry at its best, cutting corners when and where ever possiable ,,,, may be a small change, but it saved HD a alot of ching, ching, to upgrade the 07 - 96" engine,,,,,,,,, they will never notice.........................................

Rocklayer, where did you get that bag mounted to the rear shock? That's cool and out of the way.

It's a harley road king bag. You can find it in the touring section of your local dealer. I had to make my own bracket to attach it to the bike. It is really made to attach to the rear saddlebag guard of touring bikes. I used the stock holes from the belt guard to attach the bracket. Here is a pic of the bracket and the bag.

rocklayer, that is pretty nice. would be perfect to store a camera or something like that.
may have to look into that. what would it cost to get a bracket commissioned from you?

How about $30.00 plus shipping for just the bracket you would have to buy the bag from your local hd dealer.
