Default Harley Davidsons made in the USA

Are Harley Davidson motorcycles made in the USA superior to Harley Davidsons built in other countries? Thank you.

Man, you start a lot of threads about buying different bikes. Did you pick up any of those you previously mentioned? Just curious.

I am a previous Harley Davidson owner. I had a '98 Dyna Convertible. I live in Canada.

Many components of all motor vehicles, including Harleys are globally sourced, ergo the real answer is “no".
And it’s been this way for years.

My American '98 Dyna Convertible seemed to have a higher quality than the late model Harley Davidsons I've seen at Canadian Harley dealers. This could be just my imagination though.

There's a little bit of bald eagle and gun powder added to every US Harley, so yes

These are what I refer to as "dreamers". They don't end up buying anything and clog up the forums with useless questions like this (in a Dyna forum nonetheless). LOL

It has to be your imagination. Technology for manufacturing has changed remarkably in the last 25 years. Manufactured goods of all kinds, regardless of where, have remarkably better quality than they had in 1998. Do you remember what a cell phone looked like then? The same thing has happened, to differing degrees, to everything.

As to it mattering whether the VIN begins with a 1 or something else, that is not a meaningful question at all.

This reminds me of people who spend a lot of time concerning themselves with generalized notions of "reliability" when it comes to automobiles. All that really matters is whether your one example is reliable. Someone else's opinion on how reliable a large lot of vehicles might have been is no consolation if yours is the lemon. Similarly, I'm sure there are happy Yugo purchasers who got the one built on a Wednesday. If you can't stand the possibility of having to fix whatever issue may arise, the solution is to buy a new vehicle with a warranty, not to agonize over what might be.

If you have the money to buy one they are better, if not keep telling yourself they are not as good and wait until they improve. I had a 98 Roadking, in 98, I had a 79 LowRider in 81, I have an 80 FXB today.
Apples, oranges, and pears you can't compare them. YES Harley is the BEST American made motorcycle.
Hope it warm up in Canada soon.
