Mine is tied with a leather strip onto the bottom of the downtubes.

 

For all of you that are putting your bell on the frount end IE "break line" or there abouts your looking to loose it for all the banging up and down that goes on take a toll on the ring connection on your bell, I lostmy bellthat way and put the new on the same local that piginablanket did and have had no losses since black zip ties work best for it looks like you just stuck itthere, like it's hanging in mid air

 

I made a plate out of sheet metal and sandwiched it between my forwards and the frame mount. It had an extra hole below the forwards and attached the bell with a key ring, very secure and very low. Will get a picture tomorrow if I can.

 

That's where I put mine and smashed the hell out of it!!! I have a Low Rider and with my 250 lb self on it, I do sometimes bottom out!!

 

i did mine thru the hole in front axle just used a 1.25 inch key ring instead of a zip tie..........perfect!

 

both of mine is on each side of frame.

I haven't bottomed mine out yet but if I do the last thing I'm worried about is the bell.

 

Yep, gives you the chance to close them if you roll up to the stop sign next to a cop. Some have a thing about straight pipes being too noisy, imagine that!

 

I made a small bracket, removed the lower front motor mount bolt and reinstalled with bracket. Keeps it up high enough it does'nt get smashed.

 

That's exactly where I have mine. Hooked onto the ring that holds in the pin.
