Default Vance and Hines ShortShots for the Fat Bob ?

I ve decided not to wait for Rush's back order. I love the sound of the ShortShots on a Dyna Street Bob and see no reason this wont work on the bob. I have a quest and already reasearched it here on the site with no direct answer.

I dont plan on changing the airfilter ( intake) from stock yet so if I put the Short Shots on with the O2 sensors , do I need an after market Controller. Please dont guess and just say yes cause everyone else says so. If you own a streetbob or other simliar Dyna 07-08 or am a mechanic feel free to comment.

I put my Shorties on a few months before I did an a/c and tuner. You'll be fine, exceptfor some popping on decel. Once you do the others though, your really gonna notice a big difference.

I suggest cutting your baffles down too. Gives it a better sound IMO.

I'm not a mechanic, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last nite.........................

Yes.........and no. You can get away without adding a fuel management system or download.....for a while..., but you'll definately need to richen it up at some point.

I added Cycleshack slip-ons to my otherwise stock Street Bob without any fuel management system or download. It's running very lean! The plugs are a tan color instead of a healthy black. It also pops on decel (which actualy sounds cool in my book). I ran it like that for most of last season putting about 3,000 miles on. Anyway, I'm scared to ride it like that again next season. I'll be getting a Thundermax system with my tax return.

If your only planning on doing slip-ons, without any other air/fuel mods for a long time, than this may be your answer:

It's only $80 for both sides. There was a thread about these not too long ago.

Yes, you're right Trotter. I've been playing with the 2-strokes for too long.

Also, my plugs were alot worse in my memory than they are in real life. I took them out and snapped a couple pics with my crappy camera to post up here for reference. They actually look pretty good, just a touch ashy. I'd like to see a bit more color on them though.

Just for recap.......These plugs have about 3,000 miles with stock engine/intake/fuel system, and no download. Just Cycle Shack slip-ons.

Thanks for all your input. I just purchased a SE Stage 1 Air Filter Kit today..No one esle makes the new tear drop high flow filters yet. So this is hereI am gonna roll on this. I konw I said no aftermarket air filter but this bike needs to breathe.

Vance and Hines Short Shots , SE Stage 1 , ( Not sure yet ) Dobeck TFI or Fuel pak ,or PCIII. Remember Iam not going beyound Stage 1 with this bike.

Does the Shorts Shots in Chrone come with O2 sensor ports installed ?
