Slip on mufflers.

Slip on mufflers.
I'm looking at finishing off the stage 1,so I need to do the exhaust. I don't want to spend a bunch of coin. Question: Are the cycle shack mufflers really a good deal and do they have a deep throaty sound? Does any one have advice on the best ones for performance? Do the rush slip ons have a deep throaty sound? I'm thinking the exhaust then maybe a better ignition and then Dynoed. Thanks

I've heard good things about rush; i know you can go to their website and listen to sound clips of the different baffles. Don't know about cycle shack. Others will chime in as the afternoon progresses. Check out rush website

RE: Slip on mufflers.
I just added the Rush slip-ons with the 2.0 baffle and whowwww what a difference. They are throaty and loud. So loud now I am worried about getting a ticket from one of our towns finest. But then again all I do is worry.
Can't go wrong with the Rush. I know the Cycle Shacks are cheaper but I wonder why they are cheaper.

I have the Cycle Shacks and I like them. The fit and finish is excellent. They are loud for sure. Not what I would call throaty like Rhienharts tho. I would consider them the best bang for the buck for sure and will keep using them. They made the original SE slipons.

RE: Slip on mufflers.
Ask some owners. Trouble is, they're hard to find since HD got in bed with the EPA sound *****. Alon, they're better than stock, but still anemic. With the BCT baffles, they rock. They aren't measurably louder than other slip-on brands, but they're much deeper and since bass frequencies tend to be omnipresent, there's an appearance of more volume. The baffles install in about 10 minutes.

The SEIIs do sound good...it's the plain SE's that don't sound much better that stock. You can no longer get the SEIIs. Before I bought my Cycle Shack Slipons my local dealer let me listen to some of the bikes they had there. I heard one with the SEIIs and one with the Cycle Shacks. To me theysounded identical. IMO the Cycle Shacks sound great....not obnoxiously loud, just right.
