Why moco went with the plastic forward section of the rear fender is beyond me. I'm considering a paint job soon and don't want it spoiled by some cheesy unmatched plastic in front of the rear wheel.

Has anyone here had a metal front half of the rear fender fab'd for their 06 or newer Wide Glide? I figure I can have one made using the original as a model. Any reason why it wouldn't work?

 

I hear that, I want that plastic piece G-O-N-E!!!

I was thinking of redoing it in chrome... a chrome mudflap?

If anyone has an idea ... lemme know...

I had the plastic piece painted along with the tins, looks pretty good, but they wouldn't warranty the paint on the plastic.

 

Do you have a pic of the paint job? How long ago was it and how has it held up?
