Hey Paulies, I just received my Arlen Ness B/S and XIED, waiting on my Rush 1.75. Do I need The Stage1 download or is the XIED Sufficient. Please forgive meI'm a bit confused, not sure if I need the download. Thanks in advance.

I know Steve has had some challenges with the ECM code in the Dynas, so these results are encouraging. I've been running the regular IEDs (no, not Improvised Explosive Devices[sm=smiley34.gif]) on my Softail for about 150 miles now, and all is well.

Rode mine in 95 degree weather, and stop and go around town traffic, MUCH cooler! The added kick on roll ons, the instant throttle response, no surges, lowest cost performance mod!

Does everyone take them off if going in for service? or leave em on?

I'm curious too. Can you go to stage 1 without the download or tuner and use the XIED or do you need the download?

I guess I'm going to have to stimulate the economy a bit, when I get my check next month, and give the XiED's a try.
I've got an 08 Bob that's, performance wise, stock with the exception of V&H slipons with quiet baffles. I'm assuming these will work OK but will call prior to ordering to confirm.

I'll never know - I do my own service. BTW, I ran out almost a full tank of gas today in 102 degree weather with the IEDs, and the cooling was a welcome relief.

I have my 1 k service coming due ( now) , I did want to run the 1 k through the dealer, I know they only take a couple mins to remove, but becuase they enhance the performance, in a way the dealer can not, and it is a simple a/f mod will they notice/care in regard to future warrenty issues. After this service, I will be doing my own as well.

Thanks for any input.
