New speedo/ Tach for Street bob
Just finished the install of the new speedo/ tach.
Works and looks great! How do I change the color of the light? |
RE: New speedo/ Tach for Street bob
According to the instruction sheet the procedure is as follows:
For All Models: Back Lighting Adjustment To adjust the color of the back lighting: 1. Turn the Ignition/Light Key Switch to ACCESSORY. 2. Press and hold the "Trip" reset switch until the odometer reads "COLOR". 3. Release the reset switch. 4. Click the trip reset switch to scroll through the available colors using the coarse adjustment in +20 increments. 5. Press and hold to fine tune the color adjustment. 6. When the desired color is reached, the gauge must remain powered, and the button released for 5 seconds. 7. When the color is set to the word "COLOR" will no longer be displayed in the LCD. The gauge automatically reverts back to display the mileage. Power can then be turned off. 8. If the color is not set in the first attempt, repeat Steps 1 through 7. |

RE: New speedo/ Tach for Street bob
Hey bailer, I did the same on my Fat Bob but the instructions for setting the color did not work for me. Interesetingly, I was easily able to set the time properly and that is completely undocumented.

Yeah, if you could post where you got the new panel that'd be cool as well. I just find the stock one kinda bland, wouldn't mind replacing it with something else.

I'd like to know the exact sequence you followed to change the color. I followed the directions to a T several times, butI never got the word "color" to come up in the odometer.
