Hey guys, I am leaving in a couple of weeks for my 1200 mile ride on my bike. Any last minute checks that I should preform before I hit the road, other than the fluids? I will be riding to Colorado around Rocky Mountain National Forrest making a few stops along the way. Want to make sure my trip goes as smooth as possible so any help would be appreciated. Oh yeah, and did I mention this will be the first trip ever on a bike. Thanks for the help in advance.
Be sure and rotate your tires before starting out, check the blinker fluid, I usually carry some extra with me.

Sit in saddle, turn switch, push button, and ride like the wind brother
And I prefer ball bearings.
Marbals work well also

Ball bearings are good. So are large machine nuts.

All of the above...................also, after you are done packing, take a ride around the block to make sure everything is going to stay secure and to familiarize yourself with the way the bike handles with the extra bulk and weight, by the way, a used sparkplug works as good as washers, marbles or ball bearings.................(it was the only thing I had in my pocket at the time)
