Interesting that people would go against what Amsoil recommends

* The Three Fluid System below is recommended for Big Twin Evolution and Twin Cam models. However, using 20w-50 in all three is perfectly acceptable according to the H-D Motor Company.

Default A thought

I have seen this (where is or how) or related simple maintenance questions a lot on the net.
1. Ya want to do these jobs CORRECTLY the first time, so I strongly recommend that ya go ahead and at least buy the Owner's Manual for your beloved Harley. Some jobs say to replace O-rings and/or seals, some read replace as needed.

2. As far as 'juices' go, I use Royal Purple Gear Oil and 20-50 motorcycle oil. I love that stuff.

Along with my previous post, it does not hurt to cut open the oil filter and take a look at what the media has on it. There is always going to be some wear bits, but if ya sees a grunch

This thread is old as hell but I can't believe peeps can not find the transmission plug or where to add fluid.

Also, did anyone notice that someone posted a pic of the oil cap as the place to add transmission fluid???

I guess it's better to embarrass yourself online, than go to the dealer and do it...
