Tompop, I just filled up a couple days ago. Put in three gallons of gas and ran a total of 80 miles. Not too hard to figure the math on that one...and, that is representative of my mileage. I will say that there is a slight chance that I am not consistent about putting gas in the tank. I am so paranoid about the gas shooting out the top like a geyser, that its possible I am shorting myself on one tank and putting in a lot more on the next. However, I've had Harleys forever and never had a bike with mileage even remotely close to this one.

man... i have no clue what kind of milage my bob gets, people ask me that all the time, same answer i give them, who cars, if my handle is not snapped all the way back at every run i can take then i am not riding it hard enough... I drive a Jeep grand v8 quadra drive, take me a gallon to get out of my driveway! anything is better than that! i take the bike for the week and it cost me twenty some bucks for the week or i take my truck and it cost me 160 for the week... I love the bike!

I care about the mileage so that I won't run out of gas as I use my mileage to know when I am running low. It also helps so you know something isn't right with the bike. It doesn't neccesarily mean you are being **** and wanting to ride it like a grandma \\;just so you can save gas.
