1980 Iron head Sportster?
Have a co worker who has an all original 1980 Shovel Head Sportster with 9k original miles. The entire bike is original and in pristine cond. Runs great. He will take $2500 for it.

What is this thing really worth? Is this a good price or just average? They seem to be all over the map on the net.

Thought it would be kinda cool to have in addition to the Dyna. Retro bike!

I had an 82 Roadster iron head that was pretty ratty that I sold for $3,800 ... you will get more compliments on an ironhead (from the people who actually know) than any new big twin, as much as I love my dyna.....I miss that roadster.

Agreed. \\; It's an Ironhead.....not a Shovel. \\; A "Shovel" is a big-twin, not a Sporty.

The price is certainly right, and for that price, you can resell it and make profit, after riding it all summer.
