Default braided cable and lines

alright, i'm looking to dress my bars/controls up and want to get some stainless braided brake lines and clutch cable. now i've already got new risers and bar so i don't need lines/cable that are the same length as stock. i'm wondering what measurements i need to take to give to whomever i order them from and any suggestions about where to order them from (i.e. anybody that's done this b4 with some suggestions of reputable dealers). thanks in advance.

I got my stuff from Hill country custom. They have a ebay store and regular store. Robert Smith is who helped me.

Go here... http://www.magnumshielding.com/store/app_search.php
They have the +/- lengths for your year/make/model.

Goodridge brake/Barnett cables or Harley Davidson is by far the best stuff. Any HD dealer can get either brand easily. Both are top quality I'd get which ever of the two you can get cheapest.

Have to say magnum chromite platinum cables are the best ones I ever used. Have seen the hd diamondback cables on a friends fatboy that are only a year old and they are dull. I had goodridge cables before and they turned yellow in about 6 months.

Hardest part is bleeding the front brake line. A vacuum type pump would be a wise investment for this. The rest is pretty simple, just replace part for part and make adjustments.
The other thing you might try is speed bleeding zircs. I have heard they work very well and ordered a set to install this winter myself. I found a pair on ebay for $10 shipped to me.

Thanks, thats a good, cheap investment. Beats the heck out of the old method.
