I ordered it from Chicago Harley, the cheapest I found & the total for the set was 240.

Chad, just to clarify, $240 for the stator? My post wasn't exactly specific that I wanted to know the price of the stator.

Thanks

No it was 240 for the rotor & stator as a set, that's 240 total to your door, not bad!

I called the HD dealer today to get my stator for my 2006 Street Bob. I told him I want the 07 stator model not the 06 as recomennded. He wasn't much help. His comment was are you going to make it work. He let me to believe the the 07 model won't fit my 06 and after I purchased it I own it.

Can someone definitly say the 07 stator will fit my 06?

Also is the Rotor really needed?

It is an assembly that corrects the issue of stator separation.

Just replaced mine last month. I had 12000 miles on it when it quit. Still under warranty. Tech told me that it was a reacurring problem. Said to expect it again at about 25,000 miles. I would think that the Moco knows of the problem they would fix it.

They fixed with the bolted together components??????????????

I would protest this asking for the welded assembly.

As for your statement -
"I would think that the Moco knows of the problem they would fix it."

Mike, this is why they superceded to the welded assembly.

Mine was a 2007 Fxdwg. It was a welded one the pulled. They still have a problem grounding. I don't know what it is grounding out to. Is there metal trash in the Primary area? Mine had 2 of the pickups shorted.
