I am looking to change my polished rocker boxes to chrome. I have a 98 evo motor. Can anyone tell me if either:

Sportster EVO Rocker Boxes will fit? If so, what years?

or

Will any year Big Twin EVO fit?

I found one set from a 1989 FXR with low miles for a decent price. Here are the part numbers:
Rocker cover-17531-85
Middle spacer-17538-88
Bottom Rocker-17507-85

Sportster rocker covers won't fit.

I think people sometimes mistakenly assume that since the current Sporster engine is still the Evolution design that replaced the original Iron Head XL motor, that somehow it shares components with the old Evo Big Twin. The only thing they share is the Evolution name. Two completely different engines.
