Default Blown Progressives!!

Hey guys,
I recently purchased a pair of "new" 11" Progressive 412's off ebay from a reputable seller. come to find out they are actually used, but they look fairly new. I got the seller to give me half of my money back, so I ended up paying $75 for a set of progressives.

Well, it's come back to bite me in the ***. Both shocks are now badly leaking oil, and I'm wondering if there would be any kind of warranty on these? Has anyone dealt with Progressive on an issue like this before? Normally I wouldn't mind shelling out $240 for a new set, but I'm buying a new seat/rack set up son and can't really afford new shocks at the same time. Thanks

Almost exact same thing happened to me.. Progressive rebuilt and returned for $90.00+. Hated to spend more money but............
Progressive said if I had original Bill of sale, there would be no charge,
But the E-Bay bill of sale doesn't count..............

That's a shame. But that's what happens when you take a chance on Ebay. However, the vendor should be reported for selling an item listed as NEW......when infact it was USED. You could file a protest with PayPal if you used them, but the Vendor did give you half your money back. That's more than most do. I'd check with Progressive to see what they can do for you. Good Luck.

I'm pretty sure they have a 1yr warrenty on craftsmanship, but I would have to look for the card. And you have to have the original receipt also.

I've got a set of 11" Progressive 430's on mine.. and are very happy with them. Simple to adjust for your load ...just hand twist either direction to stiffen or soften...and off you go. No tools required. Have not given me an ounce of problems.
