Talking Anyone know of dynas that have Hi-Low drag pipes?

I'm looking at either making my own pipes or buying some Hi-Lows .. they're cheap

love the way they sit on the bike but i can't recall ever seeing them on a Dyna

any thoughts?

The rear shock may interfere with the top one.

well i assume the top (or both) would require a little length cut off them

but otherwise they should work .. no?

maybe. The length will factor into your extreme loss of torque. On a drag strip it is ok but on the streets the loss of torque will have a major factor in drivability. Besides your bike would look perfect with a black thunderheader on it.

Yup, your bike will just be useless. No bike with drag pipes has ever been ridden on the street. Get real. They hurt performance, they don't make the bike unrideable.

Pretty much like stated, you don't see those pipes for dynas because the shocks get in the way and clutter up the look. You'd have to cut the pipes pretty short to clear the shocks.

Wow, did he hit a sensitive subject for you? Whats your deal?

I wouldn't run straight drag pipes because the sound would be annoying, the performance loss would be unacceptable to me as well.

I would guess you dont see them made due to the shocks. You might be able to make a custom set with top pipe out further? I will say this, Shocks don't like to be near exhaust. My Jeep has the exhaust right next to a shock and I replace that shock more than the others (I wheel it alot!)

Well they are not cheap but Paul Yaffee and Supertrapp make the Legend Series X-Pipe which I was thinking about on my new Fat Bob but decided to go with a Black Fat Cat. The X-Pipe is a real sweet looking/sounding drag pipe....

No deal, I was using sarcasm to make a point. It's pretty common.
