Yeah, I agree. I can say they definitely look better at parallel (haven't tried them forward yet). Before I took the pics yesterday I had tilted them back a bit to see how I liked them while I was riding. As it turns out, they were more comfortable for me at parallel anyway, so I'm going to put them back up. My arms felt too low with the bars angled back as they are shown in these pics.

Its the stock HD full-size clear windshield for the FXDF. The headlight opening is wider than normal to accommodate the dual lamps. It has 4 quick-release levers that grab the forks. No mounting hardware gets bolted to the bike, so when I take the shield off, there are no brackets or mounts left behind. I like that. The HD part# is 57338-08.

Unfortunately, I do get a little buffeting with the windshield after I get up over 55 MPH. I think its mostly because I'm tall (almost 6'2) and my head sits up over the shield in the turbulent air coming over the top. Its great for backroad riding when its cold like it is now, though.

I needed to get everything. New throttle, brake and clutch cables - top to bottom. None of the stock cables would reach the handles. Those diamondback cables are damn expensive, too! Come to think of it though, I probably could have left the two lower front brake lines stock and saved a few bucks. The stock ones are black, and not as nice as the diamondbacks, but I definitely could have lived with it that way.

Actually they are rigid mounted 88200-09A distressed leather bags. I'm pretty sure they can be made detachable if you install the right sideplates and docking hardware. I've been thinking about it but I'm not sure yet if I want to make them removable or just leave them bolted on all the time.
