A good friend is getting a '09 Fat Bob. He doesn't like the stock rear fender (that flip up on the end specifically). Will a fender from a '09 Street Bob fit? He found a like-new fender for $150 from a Street Bob in matching black vivid, wants to get it but only if it'll fit.

Lots of posts on this... "Search" is your friend. Based on what I know and have read, the '09 SB fender will not fit. 2010 Wide glide will...

 

My guess is it won't be a direct fit since the strut bolts aren't in the same position. IE: I didn't have to relocate fatbob turn sigs when installing saddlebags,whereas the same bags on a SB would require relocation. Same goes for QD sissybar sideplates. However I'm almost sure it can be made to fit.

 

Fat Bob fender is wider than a Street Bob Fender.

 

If he digs the SB fender look, go with a '10 WG fender. A few on here have converted and it is a clean look for the FB.

 

Thanks for the info, we're meeting at the dealer in a little while to check out the WG in person. From pics, it certainly looks like it'll give him the look he wants.
