Default Got the wheel on the Streetbob

First, let me thank the following forum members for their parts to make this upgrade happen:

skipper469 (Tracy) - 21 Inch tire
Fame2 (Ray) - Progressive drop in kit
jmpancoast (John) - Streetbob donor hub

All three of them are stand-up fellows and I would not hesitate to buy from them again.

I was thinking of powdercoating the rim but decided to stick with the chrome instead. I had also bought the spokes for it but they were the wrong ones so I ended up taking it to Woodys Wheel Works(http://www.woodyswheelworks.com/) in Denver Colorado. They hooked me up by ordering the correct spokes, doing a Superlace, mounting the tire, balancing it, and then shipping it to my door all for under $250. I didn't think that was too bad considering they gaurantee their work and I feel much better riding on a wheel that was done by someone who knows what they are doing. If you have any questions about wire rims these guys have been doing it for years and they will work with you.

Here are a couple of before/after picks for anyone considering slapping a 120/70/21 front rim on their Streetbob.

Now I have the dilemna of if I want to put a set of Nightster bars on it that are in my garage. That would make it look really low and mean.

Decisions, decisions

MY son feels the same way. He is accustomed to the 19 inch wheel and the 21 just doesn't do anything for him

I guess I will have to buy him a bike so he can do whatever he wants to it.
