I just put some short shot staggereds on my 06 Street Bob with a PCIII form FuelMoto. Runs great and I think it sounds great. I didn't start it without the PCIII installed but I've had several compliments on the sound. I couldn't be happier!

 

I have the short shots on my 2009 street bob w/PCIII and BCT thunder baffles could not be happier. Good luck.

I just order some of these for my long shots http://smartpartz.com/ Hard Kore Baffles. I've talked to people that have the and they have said it take the sharpness out of the exhaust. Also adds MPG and low end torque. I'll let you know if they work out. Its a $70 gamble.

 

i just sold my softail with short shots. I didnt like the sound of them either. I thought they sounded puny or tiny. I posted a thread about it a while back and was told that the bct baffles did help quite a bit. I even pulled the baffles all the way out but they sounded even worse. Especially on decel and lost quite a bit or torque with them out too. The straight shots sound really good if you can find a used set of those for cheap.

 

I like the look and sound with the BCT. To each his /her own.....

 

I have BCT's in mine and would only change to a Thunderheader.

 

I liked how how SS sounded, but I like my Thunderheader more.

 

so I think I am going to try out the bct just to see, I mean whats the point in stopping now? you guys that have them seem to agree it is better than stock. do any of you have a fuel pak also?

 

I have a PCIII and honestly with the BCT's it sounds MUCH better than stock.
I'd be shocked if you were not happy with them.
I'm just tired of getting punked about my SS's from all the guys in the Club I hang out with : )

 

I'll chime in here as well . I was a big fan of V&H . Thought there was nothing like their sound . I gambled and bought a Thunderheader . After only a few short miles , I am hooked ! The sound of this pipe is like beautiful music , absolutely perfect . Try it , you'll like it .
